What inspired you to launch your own business?
I have always said my dream job is to be a wedding planner. I love all things weddings – I grew up watching wedding shows on TLC and even got my own wedding dress at Kleinfeld’s, the Say Yes to the Dress store in New York City. I got married in April 2021, and hired a day-of coordinator, Larissa. I shared my passion with Larissa, who also noticed my planning and organizational skills from planning my own wedding. Larissa offered me an assistant role within her company, and I quickly began service as a solo coordinator at weddings. Within 6 months, I was so passionate about this path and knew it was where I belonged. At that point, I founded Sunflower Weddings LLC.
What keeps you passionate about weddings?
My passion comes alive when I am able to use my positive personality and customer service skills to make a couple feel supported and excited about their wedding. I get to learn all aspects of the wedding, including understanding what aspects are most important to the couple and why. I love truly understanding their vision and dreams of their special day. A couple should be able to look at all the hard work, dedication, and funding they put into planning their wedding and see it blossom and come to life. I am passionate about making this happen. Weddings are so important, and a day to have fun and celebrate! The couple should not only feel like, but be a VIP on their day, and not have to lift a finger. With my help, couples, family members, the wedding party, and all guests will create memories that will last a lifetime.
